This large size Pim Yai first edition 2517 BE sacred powder amulet, of the finest Pong Puttakun powders, from deceased Guru Master Monk Luang Phu Doo, of Wat Sakae, is one of the early classic sacred amulets to be blessed and empowered by this Great Monk.
The Pra Prohm amulet was first created and pressed by Luang Phu Doo in the year 2517 BE. The amulet was re-pressed continuously throughout many years an has slight variations in different years. The first edition was made in Pim Yai (large) Klang (medium) and Lek (small), and was made in two versions from two different block presses; Block Pim Mee Khorb (with a raised edge around the sides of the amulet) and 'Block Pim Mai Mee Khorp' (without any raised edges).
Both versions of all three sizes of amulet are extremely rare in the first 2517 BE edition, but the 'Mai Mee Khorp' versions are the rarest of all, and fetch a price that is multiplied to the same ratio as its rarity compared to the models with raised edges (10 times rarer). Pim Mai Mee Khorp would hence fetch a price up to ten times more than the Pim Mee Khorp.
The first block press mold was initiated in 2517 BE, and due to the very fine powder mixture, the block press mold eventually became cluttered with 'Hin Poon' cement from the amulets, and so new block presses were made each time they became worn out.
In the editions which were pressed after the first block press mold, it happened that the amulets would become slowly smaller with continued pressing, because from the second block press onwards, the molds were made from latex instead of stone, and the Hin Poon cement of the amulets would stick to the inner design.
This resulted in the outer frames of the amulets becoming smaller as the inner edges of the block press mold became more covered in the Hin Poon. The rear face of the amulet has the Pra Nuea Prohm Chakra
Some hence have a distinct bordered frame around the edges, and others have less frame width. This particular exhibit has a distinct and highly defined border frame, insinuating that it is one of the earlier models. We estimate this amulet to originate from around 2522 BE judging from our knowledge of the aging factors of Sacred Powders, and comparisons with various examples of this series of amulets.
One important fact about the sacred Powders of this amulet, is that the powders have released 'Pratat' crystalline substance, which is considered to be a form of Sacred Relic, which arises through the Sacred Power imbued within the amulet. The crystalline substance grows on the surface in small hexagonal polygonal beads, which are visible when studied close up. The Pra Nuea Prohm amulet represents the occasion in which the Buddha became aware of a Brahma Deva in the highest Celestial heavens, who had once been a relative in a previous lifetime.
This Brahma Deva, had been using up his Karma in Heaven for so long, that he had become arrogant, and thought that Brahma-Hood was the highest state of Self Development, and Immortality was attained. The Buddha then travelled up to see the Brahma in the Celestial heavens, to free him from his self deception, which would surely cause him to be reborn on earth or in the lower realms again.
Taw Praka Praka Prohm, this Brahma, was once the mother of the Buddha, who was born in a previous Incarnation as an Albino Crow. The Buddha gave a Dhamma Sermon to the Lord Brahma Prakasit, and the Brahma heard and understood, and became a practitioner and Devotee of Lord Buddha, and was able to attain Arahantship without descending to be reborn on Earth again.
It is said that the Pra Nuea Prohm (Meaning 'Buddha Over Brahma) amulet is said to protect you from all enemies and dangers, and bring prosperity and auspicious fortunes. Your enemies who wish ill towards you will befall their own fate, and have 'get a taste of their own medicine'.
Luang Phu Doo was a great Monk of National Importance, and of Great Purity of practice in his Patipatā, who is believed by many to have attained Arahantship. The amulets were released sometime after 2517 BE at Wat Sakae.
This amulet belongs to the Master Class Amulets of Luang Phu Doo, and is extremely sacred not only because it was made as Luang Phu was still alive and Blessed by his own hand, but because of the presence of Pratat Buddha relic within the sacred powders.
The Brahma brings a multitude of blessings to the wearer, Blessings, Lucky Fortunes and Prosperity, Long Life, Good health, Safety from Danger and Evil, Happy Family and protection from Black Magic.
Within the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, Brahma is the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. Nevertheless, Brahma grew in a lotus out of the navel of the sleeping Vishnu. The daily alternation of light and dark is attributed to the activity of Brahma.
Brahma’s mind born sons are the seers Marici, Atri, Angiras, Pulastya, Pulaha, Kratuj, Pracetas, Vashishta, Bhrgu and Narada. From Brahma’s body came his nine sons Daksa, Dharma, Kama, Anger, Greed, Delusion (Maya), Lust, Joy, Death and Bharata and one daughter called Angaja.
In order to create the world and produce the human race, Brahma made a goddess out of himself. One half was woman and the other half was man. Brahma called the woman Gayatri, but she also became known by many other names such as Saraswati.
Brahma has four heads, but used to have five. The four extra heads appeared when Gayatri was very ashamed with Brahma’s love for her and tried to escape from his gaze. The tremendous tapas that Brahma had practiced for the purpose of creation was entirely annihilated through his desire to unite with his daughter. One head was lost later when Brahma lied to Vishnu and thus caused Shiva to become very angry.
The four Veda’s are said to have sprung from his heads. In the Life of Ganga, Brahma advised Bhagiratha to ask the help of Shiva in containing the power of Ganga (goddess of the Ganges river).
